How can Game of Thrones possibly end? Game Of Thrones is essentially a pale copy of ancient tragedies. In a tragedy, the defects of the protagonists result in their own destruction. One can think of hundreds of examples: Hamlet, King Lear, Titus Andronicus, Hyppolytus, The Great Catsby. The protagonist has flaws in his character or reasoning that cause his self-destruction. o how does the series end? How can Martin exactly finish his story? Well he can not. Because the only way to end a tragedy that does not start nihilistically on the King of the Winter sitting on the Iron Throne surrounded by the corpses of Jon Snow, Dany and Jaime Lannister would be to include some sort of lesson that would point to the good, the true and the beautiful. Game Of Thrones because Martin is not psychologically equipped to provide one. I would hope that other Dads could step in and help or show new dads how do this.
